I've never tried freezing tomatoes before. I read about it and hopefully they will retain their flavor and be good for cooking instead of using canned.

What a fun road trip you had. Thanks for taking us along! Now I want to go to Longwood Gardens and spend hours taking it all in. I get inspired by the end-of-season farmstand sales too. Lucky you to have tomatoes and sauce in the freezer to savor this winter.
