Love this, Vicki! My mouth was positively watering as I read the recipe, though it took me a minute to realize the meringue formed the shell of the dessert, with whipping cream on top! Genius! I can’t wait to pull out my mother’s dusty old edition of the NYT Cookbook to see what other recipes I’ve overlooked!
