I've never flambeed a dish at the table, but now I'm thinking I should! I love the simplicity of this recipe and that's all about celebrating the flavor of fresh cherries.

I made cherries jubilee shortly after I married to impress my husband's family. It actually worked! We are currently enjoying fresh cherries from our local markets. Thank you for this reminder recipe.

Love, love, love your illustration. I also love fresh cherries, but being somewhat lazy, I might opt for the frozen. I never found a cherry pitter that worked well

The last time I remember having Cherries Jubilee was when I was 16 and my father took me and a few girlfriends out to celebrate. There’s nothing more special than a dessert that lights up, especially one with ice cream, cherries, and brandy! Thanks for this delicious post, Vicki. Now I want to make Cherries Jubilee—and attempt some of those cute “eraser” prints!🍒

Making the stamps is safer than the Cherries Jubilee! What a nice birthday memory. Thanks, Ruth!

Having a cherries jubilee PTSD 'moment' as your fine post settles in my brain.

Worked at an upscale restaurant in Baltimore that served this dish. Part of the training included watching an experienced waiter fire up cherries jubilee at the table.

GREAT until he got over enthusiastic and splashed a large spoonful of the flaming mixture up, out, over, and onto the table and floor.

Good times.

Performed this delicious dish a bunch of times during my tenure there. Always got a great tip in the end. Best not to allow the extreme caution to show in my face.
