This seems like a memorable trip, Vicki, even if the newlyweds didn’t happen to notice you were there! The pesto pizza sounds delicious and perfect for me as I’ve been craving all things Italian since returning from Sicily. I even brought back a bag of pine nuts! As always, love your illustration and photos!🤗
Thanks, Ruth. It can't compare to being in Italy, but we did have fun. I look forward to hearing more about your trip. Are pine nuts any cheaper in Italy?
Fun is fun! I think the pine nuts in Italy might be a bit cheaper and a different variety than you get here.most of the ones here come from China, I think. I may do a taste test!
Good thing you seem to have a sense of humor about your stealthy wedding presence. What a fun trip--smart of you to make it into a museum and sight-seeing trip. Smart idea to make individual pizzas and skip the pizza peel. Maybe it's pizza night tonight!
Thanks for taking along with you on your road trip. Your individual pizzas is a brilliant solution to avoid buying and storing a pizza peel (which I did awhile ago and regret). You've inspired me to bring out the pizza stone (and peel), so thanks for that too!
Fun fact: John Glenn spoke at my college graduation (1999 from CWRU) following his return to space as an octogenarian! I was born & grew-up in OH, but I’m not familiar with the area you traveled to - but it sounds lovely.
I hope you didn’t spend a lot on a new dress for the wedding! lol. Sounds like you made a nice vacation and I enjoyed learning about Ohio pottery and Zane grey as well as John Glen!
Hi Vicki, my husband was born in Akron and we both enjoyed your tour of your findings in the Ohio area. We also drug out our hidden pizza stone quite recently and debated about the pizza peel. Nah...cornmeal works. Next, I shall do your pesto and off we go. Thx so much!
We’ve been invisible for a while, can be fun when no one is paying attention to what you’re doing!
John Glenn is one of our local heroes!
The house I sold last year had a Rookwood tile fireplace. The house was not far from where the tiles were made.
Sounds like a fun trip!
I have a pizza stone too. The peel doesn’t really help, off the cutting board into the oven/grill. Hubby bought a new grill - he boasts “it can get up to one thousand degrees” , he’ll put the pizza there, but not at one thousand degrees. Who needs one thousand degrees?!

The opening line, omg, I know I shouldn’t laugh 😆 Vicki, but it’s such a brilliant line!
I'm glad that you had a laugh. Makes going unnoticed worth it! Thanks, Jolene.

Good luck using your stone again. The less tools I have in the kitchen, the better!
Who, among us, has not had that rusty drain motel experience ?🥴
Terrific artwork.
Thank you, Bernadette.

What an impressive speaker! I don't remember who spoke at my college graduation. It was a nice area.
You can tell me about pesto day and night!
It is the best!

No new dress! I guess that was a good move. At least we got a thank you note.

Thanks, Sally. We marveled at how free of litter the state was.

I had forgotten just how amazing John Glenn was. Very cool that you had a tiled fireplace!
