Never liked Mallomars, but then I am not fond of marshmallows. However I do enjoy the research you put into your stories. I learn something new every time. I thought Mallomars were discontinued, didn't realized the lack was because of where I live. Thanks.
Fabulous story—I remember Branislav so clearly. I especially appreciate the time you were willing to spend on this treat, as he was cutting up erasers for your Christmas tree. That's a sign of a true friend.
My husband grew up in New York and has fond memories of Mallomars, but as a California girl, I was deprived. You’re an adventurous baker, Vicki. These look like a fair amount of work but so pretty on those colorful plates and yummy, I’m sure! And what a thoughtful gift for your friend!
What a yummy surprise for your friend! Mallowmars remind me of visiting Ireland in ‘94. I met an elderly, distantly related aunt at Clon MacNois (forgive the spelling- Spellcheck is Useless when ya cd really use it)… she brought along tea in a thermos and some sort of Irish brand mallowmars for her daily tea routine.
I'm impressed that you took on such a labor-intensive project. Your story of the scarcity of Mallomars reminded me of my childhood best friend's mother who would bring back chocolate-covered graham crackers from her NYC visits because they were not available in California. We coveted them and thought they were such a special treat.

Thanks, Janice. I must admit that I am not a big marshmallow fan either.
Omg this recipe! Now I need to throw a Halloween party.
Happy Halloween, Amie!

A most memorable fellow!

Probably a one time effort! Thank you, Ruth!
Can’t wait to try these for my Mallomars loving son, Chandler.

That's so cool that you have relatives in Ireland and you were able to visit!

Thanks, Amy. I'll try (most) anything once.
Love Mallomars, especially after being in the freezer and your painting is so great! (Also, obvi, the Mallomars you made 😂)
Thanks, Jolene!
Super YUM!
