Oh, this brought up memories of that beloved childhood book, βThe Borrowers,β and the sequels. As a child, I was fascinated with miniature people as well as miniature tea sets that I and my friends used to pretend to sip tea from. The recipes are perfect too. I just wish I still had the book! Thanks for another great post, Vicki!π«
I inherited a very tiny decoupage box from my aunt that my uncle made her for and which she could never find a use for. The only thing you can fit in it might be a few mini chocolate chips. I bet I could add a smidge from one of your muffins in it--and will try after I bake a batch!
Vicki! It is so rare to find another Borrowers fan! Last summer, I sprung my collection of 2 books from the attic and began reading them after a half-century of hibernation. Itβs been so enjoyable! I think my grandfather knew the illustrator? Such lovely artwork.
I originally made these for Luka as they have no added sugar. He wasn't a big fan. Because they don't have sugar, they aren't as tasty as your average banana bread recipe, but I guess they are healthier.

Sounds like a plan!
I have two tiny ironstone tea sets...your image captures my 'heart' for them
They are so evocative of childhood!
There's this concept of diminishing pleasure after you've enjoyed the first few bites of a food, so your petite snacks seem ideal in this way.
scientifically true! maybe those tiny treats are "just right"
I was looking for a no added sugar recipe for Francesca and here it is... thank you so much! Can't wait to bake these π€
I made these the first time with my grandson in mind. Hope she likes them!
I'm sure she will (actually I'm sure WE will π I'm baking them tomorrow for the three of us)
Charming!
Thanks, Jolene!

PS: Your miniature themed-food makes me smile!
Glad to find a fellow fan. I'm about to curl up with the first one for a bit of escape from the real world! Thanks, Amie!
I loved The Borrowers. I look forward to baking these muffins with Emerson.

Never even heard of mini muffins or finger sandwiches! Where have I been?
Ha ha!
